Georgene Ruth Clair

Georgene
Ruth Clair, age 89, passed away on March 24, 2016 in Watertown, WI at
Zinzendorf Assisted Living, where she has been a resident for the past three
years.  She was born on April 10, 1926 in
Fond du Lac, WI to George and Ruth (Allain) Baudry. 

Georgene
attended Marblehead and St. Joseph grade schools.  After graduation from Fond du Lac Senior High
School in 1944, she worked as a waitress at Happy’s Restaurant and the Fond du
Lac Telephone Company, before moving to Beloit. 
Georgene also worked at the telephone company in Beloit.  She met her husband, Gerhard, and moved to
Rockford, IL where they were married September 3, 1955 and lived there until
moving to Menomonee Falls, WI in 1969. 
Georgene worked at many of the schools in town in the cafeteria.

Georgene is
survived and will be greatly missed by her daughter, Elizabeth “Betty” (Dave)
Kriege, her granddaughters, Kimberly Kriege and her husband, Sean Miller, who are
presently teaching in Cambodia, and Emily Kriege, who is preparing to go to vet
school.  She is further survived by two
brothers, Alden (Arlene) Baudry and LeRoy (Carol) Baudry, two sisters, Sr. Ruth
Ann Baudry, C.S.A., and Rose Mary (Gerald) Dettlaff of Fond du Lac, and many
nieces, nephews and friends.

Georgene was
preceded in death by her husband, Gerhard, in 2011 and her parents, George and
Ruth Baudry.

Visitation: 
Georgene’s family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, April
2, 2016 at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way, Fond du Lac, from
9:00 to 10:45 AM.

Services: 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the visitation,
at Holy Family Church, on Saturday at 11:00 AM. 
Georgene will be laid to rest with her husband, Gerhard, at St. Mary’s Catholic
Cemetery in Eden, WI.

Memorials
can be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or to her daughter, Betty, who
will be making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.
