Gerald A. De Voe “Jerry”

Gerald A. De
Voe “Jerry”, 78, a resident of Woodland’s Senior Center passed away Friday,
October 24, 2014 at St. Agnes Hospital with family at his side.

He was born
October 17, 1936 in Oshkosh, the son of Floyd Anthony and Marion Frances (Bessex)
De Voe.

Jerry
enlisted in the United States Air Force and served in Okinawa for four years.

In 1960 he
married Susan Carol Steinhilber.  They
had three children: Gail, Leanne and Thomas. Jerry and Susan were divorced in
1967.

On August 3,
1968 he married Joy Deane Brehmer. They had one daughter Tracy.

Jerry worked
for Rockwell Standard for 30 years.  He
and Joy lived in Waupaca where they owned and operated an Arabian Horse
Farm.  They enjoyed showing their horses
at the many shows they went to.  After
their retirement they moved to Tennessee for six years and then spent the next
nine years in Florida.  After his wife
Joy passed away in 2010, he relocated to Eden, WI.  Jerry enjoyed hunting and was one of the
greatest Packer Fans.

Survivors
include his three children: Tracy (Allen) Abel of Eden, Leanne (Paul) Pischke
of Oshkosh and Thomas (Cynthia) De Voe of Oshkosh; five grandchildren: Megan
(Nick) Hraban of Juneau, Cody (Beth) Maeder of Eden, Casey (Nick) Averbeck of
Eden, Amy Pischke of Menasha and Joshua De Voe of Oshkosh; four great
grandchildren: Dakota, Maverick, Lacy and Charlize; one sister Marilyn Sherron
of Oshkosh; one sister-in-law Bonnie (David) Dobbe of Winchester; one
brother-in-law Barry (Linda) Brehmer of Ashland; also by numerous nieces,
nephews and special friends Jerry and June Erdmann of Tigerton.

He is
preceded in death by his daughter Gail, his parents, his two wives and his
brother-in-law Gene Sherron.

Private
family services will be held on November 1, 2014 at Abel’s Stardust Stable.

Family would
like to thank the nurses at Harbor Haven and Woodlands Senior Park and everyone
at St. Agnes Hospital for all the loving care given to Jerry and his family.
