Gerald H. Ott

Gerald “Jerry” H. Ott, 87, of Brandon, died on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at Copper Leaf, Ripon.

He was born on June 6, 1931, in Kenosha, the son of Harry and Myrtle Wittchow Ott. On June 6, 1953, he married Ruth M. Frei at Zion Lutheran Church in Fairwater. She preceded him in death on February 27, 2014. On July 5, 2015, he married Janice Gauger at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Rogersville.

Jerry proudly served in the United States Navy. He served aboard the USS Columbus in the Mediterranean, and served in the Korean War. After his time in the service he was a dairy farmer. He became the owner and operator of a Patz Equipment Dealership. He was a very proud salesman and was one of the top salesmen for ten years.

He is survived by his wife Janice Ott of Brandon, his children: Sue (John) Hounsell, Cindy Pipping, Lisa (Joseph) Collien, Cheryl (Timothy) Harmsen, Tracy (Matthew) Werch and Mike (Melissa) Ott; his stepchildren: Susan Gauger, Sheryl (Ron) Leemon, Sandi (Bob Klodowski) Hammer and Charles Gauger; ten grandchildren, five step grandchildren; one great grandchild, his sister Judy Coldren, his sister-in-laws Phyllis Butros and Sandy Ott, his brother-in-law Robert Frei, special friends John Koehler and Wayne Tavs, many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather Herbert Treptow, his wife Ruth, his daughter, Tammy Sue Ott, his siblings Joyce Kochanik, Ronald Ott and Herbert Treptow.

VISITATION: Friends may call on Saturday, October 20, 2018, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac and from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service on Sunday, October 21, 2018. at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, N5680 Towne Road, Rosendale, WI.

FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at 4:30 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, with Rev. Kimberly Stowell officiating. Burial will be at Rosendale Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 22, 2018.
