Gerald “Jer Bear” R. Arthur

Gerald “Jer Bear” R. Arthur,
76, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at Harbor Haven Health and
Rehabilitation.

 

He was born on August 20,
1938, in Fond du Lac a son of Fred and Marcella Dietrich Arthur.

 

Jerry was a tool and dye
operator for Tobin Tool and Dye and Muthig Industries.  He was a member of Eagles Aerie #270.  He had a passion for woodworking, making
birdhouses and lamps.  Jerry was an avid
fisherman and he looked forward to his yearly fishing trip with his son to
Mountain, Wisconsin.  He also enjoyed
polka dancing.

 

He is survived by a daughter,
Chris Arthur of Fond du Lac; a son, Tom Arthur of Shoreview, Minnesota; four
grandchildren:  Laura (Zach) Gatheridge,
Kevin Arthur, Danielle Zivkovich, and Jennifer (Max) Miedona; a
great-grandchild, Liam Gatheridge; his better half for 30 years, Judith King of
Fond du Lac.  “GG” is further survived by
Ami Mand and Jesse (Nathan) Trexell; four brothers:  Donald Arthur of Shorewood, Fritz (Elaine)
Arthur of Mt. Morris, Ray (special friend, Carol) Arthur of Neenah, and John (Darlene)
Arthur of North Fond du Lac; many nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by
his parents; a brother, David; and a sister, Marlene (Pete) Hernandez.

 

At Jerry’s request, there
will be no visitation or service.

 

A Celebration of Life will be
held at Schmitty’s Oar House, N7044 Winnebago Drive, Fond du Lac, on Saturday,
June 27, 2015 at 1:30 p.m.  Please stop
by and share a story.

 

Cremation has taken place.
