Gerold H. Marquardt

Gerold Herman Marquardt, 86, of Campbellsport died peacefully on Friday August 4, 2017 at Hope Health and Rehabilitation in Lomira. He was born in the Town of Auburn on October 26, 1930, the son of Herman and Adelia Marquardt. On November 10, 1951, Gerold married Lorraine M. Meyer at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Campbellsport. He was a former member of St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Kewaskum. He farmed in the Town of Ashford and also worked at the foundry in Campbellsport, Old Ironside Batteries and the Gehl Company. Gerold enjoyed trips to his trailer at Lakewood, feeding the fish in his pond and taking rides on his scooter. 



Gerold is survived by his children Steven (Laurie) Marquardt of Campbellsport, Neil (Peggy) Marquardt of West Bend, Barbara Marquardt of Campbellsport, Lee (Jackie) Marquardt of St. Kilian, Joan (David) Walker of Traverse City, MI and Lynn (Gary) Marquardt of Fond du Lac, 13 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, his sister Verna Hausner, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 



Gerold was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Lorraine on February 13, 2016, his brothers Sylvester and Jerome, his sister Romilda Heider, his brothers-in-law Leroy Heider and Ralph Hausner and sister-in-law Luella Marquardt. 



Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 12th at 11:00 AM at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac. 



Visitation will be Friday, August 11th from 4 to 7 PM and Saturday, August 12th from 10 AM until time of services at the funeral home. Memorials are appreciated to Hope Health and Rehabilitation or Agnesian Hospice Hope.
