Glen A. Crook

Born November 27, 1933, to David and Catherine (Roberts) Crook in Mackford Prairie, WI, Glen A. Crook passed away at home in Rosendale, WI, on May 1, 2022, after a brief illness.  

Glen entered the US Army in 1954 and after marrying Lucinda Birschbach on July 9, 1955, he finished his Army career in 1956 in Riverside, CA.  Glen worked at A.H. Bluemke and Sons in Rosendale for over 30 years, delivering milking supplies to the farmers in the surrounding area. After he retired, he spent over 10 years as caretaker/sexton of the Rosendale Cemetery, taking great pride in serving the community. Glen was a friend to all he met, and he enjoyed talking to everyone.  He took pleasure in gardening and volunteering at Holy Family Church at Woodhull in a variety of ways. Glen most especially delighted in spending time with his family, particularly watching all his grandchildren’s events, and reminiscing over old photos.

Glen is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lucinda (Birschbach) Crook; his two children, Duane (Tamara) Crook and Pamela Behnke, both of Fond du Lac; his two grandchildren, Andrew Behnke of Fond du Lac and Priscilla Crook currently serving in the Air Force in Hawaii; Sister, Marjorie Hopkins of Randolph and Brother, Arthur (Ruby) Crook of Oshkosh and Sisters-in-Law, Karen Crook of Markesan and Virginia Miles of Ripon; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  

Glen was proceeded in death by his parents, David and Catherine; his in-laws George and Ida (Kohlmann) Birschbach; Siblings: Mae (Lyle) Giffey, Roy Crook, Donald (Ruth) Crook, and Thomas Crook; Brothers-in-law: Elwyn Hopkins and Donald Miles; Sisters-in-law: Alice (Ralph) Enders and Marian (Donald) Riese.

VISITATION: The family will greet friends from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday, May 9, 2022, at Kurki Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac, and from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Our Risen Savior Catholic Church of Holy Family Parish – Woodhall, W8272 Forest Avenue Road, Eldorado, WI 54932.

SERVICE: Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Our Risen Savior Catholic Church – Woodhall.  Entombment to follow at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum in Calvary Cemetery.
