Grace E. Marcoe
Grace E. Marcoe, 90, a
resident of St. Francis Home for the past 10 years, died Saturday, December 28,
2013 at the home. She was born September
7, 1923 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Fredrick W. and Isabel M. Marcoe
Fisher. On October 19, 1946 she married
Roy A. Marcoe in Fond du Lac and he preceded her in death on December 7,
2003. She was a member of Holy Family
Parish, St. Mary’s Church and a member of the Fond du Lac Senior Center. Grace enjoyed square dancing, puzzle books,
gardening, sewing, and she took care of her family. Grace and Roy sang with the
Fond du Lac Senior Center Chorus and helped start the St. Francis Nursing Home
Choir.
SURVIVORS: She is survived
by one son, Daniel (Merry) Marcoe, Fond du Lac; five daughters, Barbara
(Michael) Hoerth, Fond du Lac, Gail (Gary) Stallone, Riverside, CA, Carol
(Paul) Weisenburger, Inver Grove Heights, MN, Janet Smart, Suwanee, GA, Gloria
(Kyle) Wondrash, Fond du Lac; fourteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren;
two sisters, Alice (Eugene) Osborn, Fond du Lac and Geraldine Poepping, North
Fond du Lac; two brothers, Kenneth (Beverly) Fisher, Fond du Lac and Roger
(Gina) Fisher, Albuquerque, NM; two sisters-in-law, Dolores Corbett, Fond du
Lac and Jacqueline Marcoe, Newport Beach, CA; special niece, Sharon (Dan) Deer,
Fond du Lac and many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy; one sister-in-law,
Marlys Fisher; three brothers-in-law, James Marcoe, John Corbett and Dominic
“Nick” Poepping.
VISITATION: The visitation will be held from
1:30 – 3:00 PM on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at St. Francis Home Chapel. FUNERAL:
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, January 2,
2014 at St. Francis Home Chapel with Rev. Al Veik officiating. Cremation will follow the traditional service
with inurnment at Calvary Cemetery.
