Harold Henry Sabel

Harold Henry
Sabel, 99, of Fond du Lac passed away on Friday,
February 6, 2015 at Woodlands
Senior Park.  Harold was born in the town of Taycheedah on November
25, 1915, a son of Henry and Margaret (Franzen) Sabel.

On October
18, 1939 he married Marcella L. Karl at St. Cloud Catholic Church, St. Cloud, WI.

Harold owned
and operated a dairy farm in the Peebles area for over fifty years until his
retirement in 1979.  He was a member of
Holy Family Parish and formerly of St. Mary Catholic Church in Fond
du Lac where he was a member of the St. Joseph and Holy Name Societies.

He enjoyed
bowling, dancing, playing cards and especially family get-togethers.

Harold is
survived by two daughters, Patricia (Sylvester) Petrie of St. Joe, WI and Nancy
(James) Gerner of Fond du Lac; two sons, Harold “Bud” (Sandy) Sabel of Malone
and Charles (Lynn) Sabel of Kiel; 16 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren; sister-in-law,
Irene Kohlmann; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Proceeding
Harold in death are his parents; his wife, Marcella (1988); one infant son,
Nick, one daughter, Kathleen Hinn and one grandson, Greg Petrie; brother,
Alfred Sabel and sister, Helen Laning.

Visitation: 
The family will receive relatives and friends at Holy
Family Parish
Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac, from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM on Monday,
February 9, 2015.

Service:  At 11:00 AM a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Family
Parish Church.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials in
his name are preferred and may be directed to the family.

Harold’s

Agnesian Hospice Hope for their compassionate care.
