Helen L. Lundell

Helen L. (Indehar) Lundell, 88, of Fond du Lac, went home to her Lord and Savior Monday, March 15, 2021 at her residence. She was born on January 1, 1933, in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Anthony and Lucille (Sundberg) Indehar. On June 9, 1951, she married Dr.Wm R.Lundell in St. Paul, MN. Helen graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota in Elementary Education. She went on to teach at Mounds View School District until her retirement in 1986.

Helen loved the life she created with her husband William of nearly 70 years. Her passion was to share God’s blessings with others through deep friendships, mentoring, entertaining, and making a place at the table for everyone. Many happy times were spent with lifelong Christian friends who called themselves “The Gang.” Helen’s gift of hospitality brought joy to all who knew her. Helen was an accomplished pianist and vocalist who sang in the church choir. She loved international travel, theater, art, and gardening. The family lovingly called her “The Flower Lady.”

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Wm R. Lundell; two daughters, Debra Lundell of Ramsey, MN and Dr. Janet (Craig) Postier of Fond du Lac, WI; five grandchildren, Melissa (Joshua) Hoff, Brittany (Nicholas) Bestland, Amalia Postier, Lauren (Pen-Ting) Postier-Liao, and Grant Postier; five great grandchildren, Elianna, Tegan, Brilynn, Adalynn, and Jackson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Lucille; three brothers, Vernon, Robert, and Leslie Indehar; and sister, Marjorie Palmer.

Cremation has taken place with funeral services in St. Paul, MN planned for a later date.
