Helen M. Kruszka

Helen M. Kruszka, 90, of Long Lake went to her heavenly home on
Wed. July 3, 2013, with her family gathered around her. Helen was born July 15,
1922, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Walter and Frances Glowacki. She was
educated at St. Marys Academy, graduated at age 16 and continued her education
at Marquette University. On April 28, 1941, Helen married Edgar S. Kruszka in
Milwaukee. In 1956, they moved to California where they raised their family. She
was employed at McDonnell Douglas as an executive secretary. In 1969, Helen and
her husband, Edgar, started Mr. Ed’s Campground at Long Lake. She worked beside
her husband until his death in 1998. Helen meticulously worked as the accountant
for Mr. Ed’s and her positive attitude, quick smile, and beautiful disposition
helped make the business successful. She loved the spirit of hunting for a great
bargain, playing the slots, and hanging with her best “bud” Karen. One of her
greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren from Iowa and the
Holidays with the grandkids from Fond du Lac and Long Lake.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son Alan (Candy) Kruszka,
Alan’s children; Dulcie Erickson, Ethan (Nikki) Kruszka, Ericka (Rob)
Fitzgerald, Courtney (Ryan) Willis, Quinten (Rochelle) Kruszka, and Jordan
Kruszka; Alan’s grandchildren; Amber, Logan, Dobre, Scout, Eden, Ashton, Ivy and
Bijou, her daughter Karen (Don) Patchett, Karen’s children; Dawn Higgins and
Angela Patchett, Karen’s grandchildren; Drew and Cassie, Karen’s great
grandchildren; Alicia, Olivia, and Bentley, her sisters Florence(Jerry) Lyles
and Betty Glowacki, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by
her parents, her husband Edgar, her son Michael, her brothers Jerome and
Wallace, her grandson John Erickson, and her sisters-in-law Delores Oman and
Lonita Garstecki.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 13th from 9:00 AM until time of Mass at St.
