Helena M. Giebel

Helena M.
Giebel, 97, of Eldorado, passed away on Thursday, December 19th,
2013 at the Villa Loretto Nursing Home. 
She was born on November 17, 1916 in the Township of Taycheedah to the late
Matthew and Rosa (Freund) Schneider.

On May 7,
1940 she married Paul Giebel at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Peter.

Helena and
her husband were engaged in dairy farming in the Eldorado area for many
years. 

She was a
member of Our Risen Savior Catholic Church in Woodhull where she was a member
of the Altar Society and helped cook for weddings and funerals at the church.

Helena is
survived by her children, Kathleen (Vernon) Baus of Sheboygan, Rose Giebel of
Fond du Lac, Theresa (Harold) Hochrein of Fond du Lac, Francis (Marilyn) Giebel
of Eldorado, Gerard (Janice) Giebel of Rosendale, Gerardine (Michael) Hoch of
Wautoma and Geralyn Toetz of Arizona; 25 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren;
brothers, Alphonse (Shirley) Schneider of Malone and Roman (Marcella) Schneider
of Silica; sister-in-law Virginia Schneider of Malone; nieces, nephews other
relatives and friends.

Preceding
Helena in death are her parents, husband, two grandchildren and four sisters,
Cresecentia Schmitz, Loretta Zwicky, Imelda Nett, Dorothy Hefter; four brothers:
Bernard, Orlando, Adolph and Roger Schneider.

Visitation: 
Helena’s family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, December
21, 2013 from 9:00 until 11:45 AM, at Our Risen Savior Catholic Church,
Woodhull. 

Service: 
At 12:00 Noon in Our Risen Savior Catholic Church on Saturday, December
21, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.  Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of
flowers memorials are preferred and may be directed to Villa Loretto Nursing
Home or Our Risen Savior Catholic Church.

The family extends their gratitude to
the staff of the Villa Loretto Nursing Home for the love and care they gave
Helena.
