Herbert E. Keuler

Herbert E. Keuler, age 74, of Chilton, died on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.  He was born June 14, 1943 in Fond du Lac, son of the late Bruno & Eleanor (Klotz) Keuler.



Herbert proudly served his country in Vietnam during the Vietnam War for the United States Army.  Following his honorable discharge from military service, Herbert worked at Chilton Products until his retirement in 2005 after 42 years of work.



He was member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church formerly St. Charles Parish, and the Chilton VFW.  



Herbert loved being outside and appreciated God’s gift of land.  With a quiet spirit and gentle nature, Herbert took great pride in working the land, planting, and collecting maple syrup.  



Survivors include his sister: Suzanne (Ken) Mueller; his brother: Joseph (Jean) Keuler; nieces and nephews: Brian Keuler and his fiancée Tracy Strauss, Julie Keuler and her special friend Cory Schumacher, Troy (Jenn) Mueller; great nieces and great nephew: Payton & Brailynn Oney, Natalie & Zachary Mueller; and 2 aunts: Helen Klotz & Marilyn Hirsch.  He is further survived by other relatives and friends.



Herbert was preceded in death by his parents and many aunts and uncles.



Funeral service will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton with the Rev. Ryan Krueger officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Charlesburg.  Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 9:00 am until 11:30 am on Saturday, September 2, 2017.  



Herbert’s family would like to thank the entire staff of both Calumet Medical Center and St. Elizabeth Hospital for all of the loving care that was shown to Herbert and his entire family.
