Holly A. Lord

Holly Ann
Lord, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend to all,
resident of Fond Du Lac WI, formerly of Oshkosh WI, passed away on January 5,
2019, after a short illness, and a courageous battle to regain her health.


She was born
Holly Ann Pie on January 30th 1959. She was preceded in death by her father,
Henry Pie Sr. and mother, Geraldine Pie; brothers,  Alvin Pie, Henry Pie Jr., Peter Pie and
Jerome Pie and sister, Elizabeth Pie.


She is
survived by her fiancé, best friend and partner in crime, Jeffery Yakites; one
son, Eric (Tina) Lord, one daughter, Nicole (Adam) Kuhn, one stepdaughter,
Trisha (David) DeLap; nine grandchildren, Kaylyn Smith, Kory Lord, Adrianna
Yakaites, Zachery DeLap, Riley DeLap, Christian DeLap, Edie Kuhn and Henry Kuhn
and one great grandson, Rylan Smith. Holly is also survived by many nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.


Holly had a
successful career in the health services industry, including Job Coach,
Activities Director, Facilities Director, Caregiver Support and multiple other
positions.


Holly was
first a loving Homemaker with a passion for hosting parties and holidays
focused on family and friendship. She always made them memorable for her
children and family. No one ever left a dinner Holly hosted hungry. Her love of
baking and cooking for holidays, family and friends was always displayed with
love for all involved.


Holly was
involved with many community groups throughout her life including: Fishing Has
No Boundaries, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Brownies, Youth Softball, Many School
Organizations and others including The Smith School P.T.O.


Faced with a
potential Smith School Closer in the mid 1980’s due to low attendance, Holly
was instrumental mobilizing a door to door survey presented to the school board
concluding a majority elderly population soon to be transferred to young
families. Holly wanted to ensure a great neighborhood school would remain a
part of the Southside Oshkosh community. Today Smith School is a thriving
cornerstone of this neighborhood thanks in part to her foresight and action.


Holly will
be forever missed, deeply loved, and irreplaceably cherished by her Children,
The love of her life Jeff Yakaites, her Family, and many friends.


SERVICES:
Holly’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, January, 11 from
2:00 PM to 5:45 PM at Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division Street in Fond du
Lac. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM following the visitation.


Our family would like to thank the
Zacherl Funeral Home for their unbelievable help and invaluable guidance, the
staff of Crossroads Care Center of Fond Du Lac WI, the amazing staff and
Doctors of St. Agnes Hospital in Fond Du Lac WI, and The many extraordinary
teams of Doctors, Specialists, Angel Nurses, Aids, and, support staff at U.W.
Hospital Madison. They not only provided excellent care to Holly, but also
kindness, compassion and emotional support to all of us. We will never be able
to thank all of you enough for all you have done for our family.
