Howard J. Krug

Our Heavenly Father called
Howard Joseph Krug to his Heavenly home on Monday, May 4, 2020. Howard
was born November 14, 1921, to Joseph Jr. and Lea Krug in the Town of Forest, WI.
He was a life-long member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, where he became the
oldest living male member at the age of 96.

Howard worked many years on
the family farm and 20 years at Mercury Marine. During retirement, one of
Howard’s greatest pleasures was volunteering at the hospital, where he donated
6,578 hours. He truly missed being there, but enjoyed the lunches with the
shampoo ladies. He also played golf in morning leagues and hit a hole-in-one 2
times.

Howard enjoyed watching the
Brewers. His love for baseball started in his younger years when he was the
catcher on and later managed the Forest Athletic teams. Many springs he
traveled to Arizona to see the Brewer Training Camps.

Howard is survived by his
brother, Franklin Krug, and nieces and nephews: Marjean (Elroy) Conradt of
Fountain City, Debora Jaeger, Barbara Krug, Tamara (Tom) Schanke of Elkhart
Lake, Gloria Krug, and Todd (Karla) Krug of Green Bay and many grand and great
grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and
brother-in-law, Dorothy (Wilbur) Hinz, sister-in-law, Lois Krug, niece, Mary
Baehman, and nephew-in-law, Robert Jaeger.

Due to the current Safer at
Home restrictions, a Private family graveside service will be held at Forest
Cemetery on Monday, May 11, 2020. Memorial service will be held at a later date
at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Town of Forest.
