Irene Dorothy (Baumhardt) Majerus,

Irene Dorothy (Baumhardt) Majerus, 85, of St. Peter’s Place, Fond du Lac died peacefully surrounded by her loving family Wednesday Nov. 4, 2015 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born July 13, 1930 in the Town of Eden the daughter of the late John & Viola Fitzpatrick Baumhardt. Irene attended Lafayette School in the town of Eden and Campbellsport High School. She married John Majerus at St. Mary’s Church, Eden. She was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Parish, the Human Concerns, the Christian Women, the Eden Fireman’s Auxiliary, the Ethan Allen Community Club, the Green Shirts of Eden and Lomira Seniors. 

Survivors include her children Daniel Majerus of Eden, David (Lucy) Majerus of Plymouth and Joseph (Peggy) Majerus of Fond du Lac, nine grandchildren: Scott Majerus, Timothy (Shari) Majerus, Mark (Kathy) Majerus, Adam (Jenny) Majerus, Michelle (Brad) Uelmen, Lisa (Sheldon) Rau, Maggie (Pat) Rose, Maria (Tony) Schraufnagel, Jillian Majerus and 17 great grandchildren: Eric, Emily, Seth, Ian, Alexa, McKinley, Ashley, Tyler, Liam, Blake, Margaret Mary, Gavin, Trevor, Josie May, Reagan, Hayden, and Tessa Maria. She is further survived by her sister-in-law Sally Baumhardt of Eden and many nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved dearly. 

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband John Sept. 24, 2002, a son Thomas, who died in an automobile accident Sept. 23, 1967 and a daughter-in-law Sue Majerus (Dan) Oct. 31, 2006 and two sisters: Helen McCrory and Florence Ringhand, two brothers: George Baumhardt and John “Ike” Baumhardt, three brother-in-laws: Tony Binotto, John McCrory and Babe Ringhand, a sister-in-law Jeanette Baumhardt, and her father/mother in-laws Bill and Clara Majerus and their family Art and Evie Majerus, Catherine and Harvey Iding, Art Enfelt, Dorothy and Roland Comins, Don and Donna Majerus, Marion Timmer, Cecelia and Gene Wilhelms, Bob and Bernice Majerus and Bill Jr. and Kathleen Majerus. 

Visitation will be Sat. Nov. 7th from 3 to 8 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave. Fond du Lac and on Sunday Nov.8th from 1:00 PM until time of Mass at Shepherd of the Hills Church, W1562 Hwy B, Eden. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be Sunday Nov. 8th at 2:00 PM at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Eden. The most important things in Irene’s life were her Faith, Family and Friends. She taught us how to love! 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Shepherd of the Hills Parish, Father Mark’s Parish in Haiti, Eden Fire Department or Eden Lions Club.
