James A. Masarik

James A. Masarik, 71, died Saturday, February 23, 2013 at his residence.  He was born on December 24, 1941 in Fond du Lac, the son of Stephen and Elizabeth (Steffes) Masarik. Jim received physics and mathematics degrees from Washington State and Kansas State. He taught mathematics at the University of Wisconsin Fond du Lac.  Jim then worked as a computer programmer for the United States Navy in Hawaii and for the Army in Yuma, AZ.  He enjoyed classical music and fishing.

 

SURVIVORS:  his siblings, Jerome Masarik of Fond du Lac, Joseph Masarik Fond du Lac, Thomas Masarik of Milwaukee, Betty (John) Hanke of Lombard, IL, Michael (Patty) Masarik of Roanoke, VA, David (Karen) Masarik of Wisconsin Dells, WI, Dennis (Sue) Masarik of Downers Grove, IL; one brother in law, Ken Gerner of Oshkosh, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Patricia Gerner.

 

Services are pending for April.  Cremation has taken place.
