James D. Driscoll

James D. Driscoll, age 82, of Fond du Lac, died on Sunday, December 6, 2020, at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on April 2, 1938, in Spencer, WI, the son of Dale and Ruth (Schultz) Driscoll. James attended Brighton County School and graduated from Spencer High School. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating in 1960. On June 13, 1959, he married Lorita Fravert in Spencer, WI.

James was employed at Mercury, in various accounting capacities, retiring in 1996. James was a past President of the Fond du Lac Jaycees, a member, a past President and Treasurer of the Fond du Lac Lakeside Evening Kiwanis. He also served as a Lt. Governor of the WI-UPMI Kiwanis District. James was also a lifetime member of the Fond du Lac Elks Lodge #57 where he served as the Lodge Secretary and Treasurer. James was a member of Hope Lutheran Church since 1960. He also served his church on the Board of Finance and Building Fund Committee. James was also a longtime member of the R.P. Investment Club, serving as the Club Treasurer. He loved to garden and fish and to stay at the family retreat in northern Wisconsin.

Survivors include his loving wife and best friend of almost 61 years, Lorita, of Fond du Lac; his children, Dale (Shelley Wilcox) Driscoll, Lynn (John Krueger) Schulte, Thomas (Sandra) Driscoll; five grandchildren, Dawn, Ann, Kayla, Sadie, and Spencer; three great-grandchildren, Bren, Colby, and Wyatt; three sisters, Sally (Jerry) Mueller, Jackie (Lee) Nelson, and Debra Driscoll; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will take place on Friday, December 11, 2020, from 10:00 AM until 12 noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 12 noon. Cremation has taken place. Private family interment will take place at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park. Due to Emergency Order #1 under Executive Order #82, masks are required while in attendance.
