James J. Halbach

James J. Halbach, 85, formerly of
Marytown, died September 16, 2017, at Manor Care Nursing Home in Fond du Lac,
where he had resided for the past three years.  

 

He was born February 18, 1932, son of
Vincent and Elizabeth (Aulbach) Halbach. He is preceded in death by his wife
Dolores (Watry) Halbach.  He served in the Army before working for the
Kohler Company for 42 years.  He liked perch fishing with his
grandchildren on his pontoon boat, and he also enjoyed fishing in the winter
including sturgeon spearing. He also enjoyed spending the winter months in
Florida.

 

He is survived by his wife Kathy (Pike); seven children: Dennis
(Monica), John (Deb), Lois (John) Quackenboss, Sue (Terry) Braun, Tom (Sherry),
Patrick (Charlene), and Ann (Wayne) Brandt; 15 grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren; two brothers: Howard and Vince (Marie); seven
sisters-in-law: Angie Schuh, Millie Vogel, Bernie Halbach, Lorraine (Peter)
Winkel, Pat (Paul) Reider, Joanne (Ellsworth-Moose) Thome; one brother-in-law
Jerome (Rose) Watry and many nieces and nephews.

 

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife Dolores, his brothers:
Robert, Claude, Sylvester and Edmund; and in-laws Edward and Lucille Halbach,
Robert and Leona Ortlieb, Henry Schuh and Raymond Vogel.

 

VISITATION: The family will receive friends on Saturday, October
7, 2017, from 1-3:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marytown.

 

FUNERAL SERVICE: A Mass of Christian burial will take place on
Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marytown at 3:00 p.m.   A
private burial service will take place on Monday, October 9, 2017.

 

The family would like to offer their sincere appreciation to Manor
Care Nursing Home staff for their continued support and care for their dad.
