Jane E. Hein

Jane Eleanor (Thompson) Hein, age 94, of Kiel, died on October 24, 2020 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan.  Jane was born on July 28, 1926, daughter of Mr & Mrs. Dean Thompson.  

Jane was a cultured and well traveled lady, living in several different states in America.  She was born in New York State, when she was 3 their family moved to Florida, and she eventually moved to Sheboygan.   There was dance studio that had an opening up in the area.   Along with teaching dance she also worked for the Koehler Company while living in the American Club.   This is where she met the love of her life, Norbert C. Hein.  They would gather in the recreation room for t.v. and Norbert had an eye for Jane.  They married on June 18, 1966 at the catholic church in Koehler and were celebrating their 54 year of marriage.  

After the couple was married, the couple decided to move on and go west.  They settled in Salt Lake City, UT, Seattle, Washington, and Sacramento, CA to name a few.  Jane had various jobs along the say working in factory and retail.  After the couple had retired they decided it was time to go back to the original place they called home and settled in Kiel for the last 22 years. 

Jane had real nitch for sewing and could make just about anything.  Dancing was also a past time favorite and was a dance instructor.  Jane loved to be outside and be active.  In her youthful days she enjoyed downhill skiing, other times she could be found walking around her neighborhood and was known for picking up trash and keeping the streets clean.  

Jane was a caring person who was easy to talk to, liked being around people, and helpful where ever she could be.  

Jane will be forever missed by her husband, Norbert C. Hein; sisters: Susie and Kathy; brother, Jim; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Wieting Family Funeral Home in Chilton.  Burial will be in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Chilton.  Friends may call for a time of visitation at Wieting Family Funeral Home from 10 AM to 11 AM on October 29, 2020 until the time of service.
