Jean L. Whittaker

Jean L. Whittaker, 59, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013, at her residence.

 

Jean was born on March 5, 1953, in Fond du Lac, a daughter of Louis W. and Dorothy M. Faul Whittaker.  Jean graduated from L.P. Goodrich High School in 1971 and was a graduate of Moraine Park Technical School in the nursing program.  Upon graduation, she was employed at the Clinic of Orthopedic Surgery.

 

She loved her time at Koch’s cottage with family and friends.

 

Jean was a member of Church of Peace where she was very involved in church activities.  She had a talent for knitting.  Jean was a caregiver by heart to everyone she knew.

 

Jean is survived by her 11 siblings:  Tom (Jan) Whittaker of Milwaukee, Bill (Evie) Whittaker of Fond du Lac, David Whittaker of Eden, Mel (Kathy) Whittaker of Fond du Lac,  Kathryn “K.T.” (James) Stephany of Fond du Lac, Diane (Joseph) Ule of Plymouth, Bob (Susie) Whittaker of Oshkosh, Nancy (Oscar) Pfeiffer of Rosendale,  Carol “Lu” (Tom) Carlson of Fond du Lac, Carl (Pat) Whittaker of Fond du Lac, and Randy (Connie) Whittaker of Oshkosh, her godchildren:  Traci Lynn Whittaker of Fond du Lac, and Angie (Ryan) Wachter of Plymouth; her nieces and nephews:  Tara, Todd (Dawn), Heather (Mary), Aaron, Shawn (Kathleen), Scott (Tammy), Tanya, Katie, Tommy, Ryan, Jacob, Kayla, and Della; and her great-nieces and great-nephews:  Bren, Colby, Kyle, Lindsay, Alyssa, Alexis, and Tyler.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Janet Marie; a niece, Tammi; and a godson, Bradley.

 

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Church of Peace, 158 South Military Road, Fond du Lac, with Rev. Jennifer Dawson and Rev. James Martin officiating.  Burial will be in Rienzi Cemetery.

 

The visitation will be from 3:00- 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2013, at Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac, and on Saturday at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
