Jean Lynn Schad

Jean Lynn Schad, 64, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, December 31st at St. Agnes Hospital due to Covid.

Jean was born January 31st, 1957 in Chilton, the daughter of the late Joseph and Joyce (Beineman) Schad. She graduated from New Holstein High School in 1975. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Fond du Lac.

Jean was currently employed part time at Kwik Trip and as an in-home care taker for the elderly. She had so many special bonds made with her elderly clients and thoroughly loved helping them daily. Jean also felt a deep calling to help out with the greater need for foster care. She opened her home for over the past six years to foster children and was in the process of adopting two children.

Those who knew Jean well, knew one of her biggest loves and passions in life was quilting. If you were related to Jean or if you were a close friend, then you more than likely have a beautiful handmade quilt from her. Any and almost all spare time was spent working on her long arm making a new quilt.

Jean is survived by her three daughters: Dannelle (Todd) Jacobs, Nicole (Dan) Abramovich and Katie (Heath) Budzis; five grandchildren: Ivan, Nickolas, Emma, Hailie and Nora; Frank D’Imperio and her friend Jim; siblings: Joe (Linda) Schad, Jan (fiancé Pete) Geiser, Jerome Schad and Jerilyn Schad; multiple special close friends and her beloved pets, Boo and Bella.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents.

Services: Jean’s family will receive relatives and friends for visitation on Monday, January 10, 2022 from 4:00 to 5:45 PM at Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division Street in Fond du Lac.
