Jean M. Nolan

Jean M. Nolan, age 65, of Chilton, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at her home surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born June 28, 1954, to the late Jerome and Eunice (Boll) Daun.

Fifty-one years ago, she started dating her soulmate, Patrick Nolan. They were married on August 24, 1974, and had one son, Michael.

After graduation from high school, she went on to become a nurse where she cared for many patients who later became friends. No matter where she went, she always encountered someone she knew from her care-giving career.

She later started her own business in floral design and helped friends and relatives make the most of their yards, houses, and even weddings. Her immaculate garden at home was enjoyed daily while Jean relaxed either on her deck or by the fire pit.

In her free time, she loved spending time with the three lights of her life, her grandchildren, KayDance, Slaytt, and Drayk. Whether it be watching their various sporting events or roasting food over the fire, she couldn’t be happier than when she was with them.

She also enjoyed spending time socializing with her many friends. She was never afraid to strike up a conversation with a new acquaintance.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Patrick Nolan, son, Michael (Kristin) Nolan, and her grandchildren: KayDance, Slaytt, and Drayk Nolan.

She is further survived by her sister, Pam (Dennis) Havinga, her brothers, Steven Daun and Doug (Shari) Daun, and her father-in-law, Robert Nolan, Sr. She is also survived by her many in-laws, extended family, and close friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Eunice (Boll) Daun, and her mother-in-law, Marilyn (Miller) Nolan.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00pm on Monday, December 30, at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Friends may call from 1:00pm until 4:00pm at the funeral home on the day of the service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in the name of Jean Nolan.
