Jean R. Zwicky

          Jean R. Zwicky, 85, a resident of the Woodlands Senior Park since January of this year, died on Friday, April 12, 2013. She was born November 2, 1927, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Gordon and Sophronia Suprenand Guenther. She was a 1946 graduate of Goodrich Senior High School. On January 27, 1951, she married Raymond W. Zwicky at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on January 16, 2011. Jean was a fantastic bowler with scores often in the high 500’s.  She also loved to play golf and was good at it!  She played on a ladies golf league as well as in a couple’s league. Ray and Jean enjoyed traveling, especially golf trips with their Kiwanis and Elks friends.  Jean was a volunteer for “Meals on Wheels”, and was also involved in the Lady Elks organization. Jean enjoyed watching the birds on the feeders outside her windows. She was active on her high school class reunion committees. She also served as chair of the board of directors for the family business, Guenther Supply. Jean was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved life, and handled her medical issues with an upbeat and courageous attitude. She always had a laugh or a smile, even in the toughest times.

Surviving are her children, Jeffrey A. (Deb) Zwicky, Karen R. (Dan) Kraus, Kim M. (Jeff) Ayars, and Robert G. (Jenny) Zwicky, all of Fond du Lac, five grandchildren, David A. Zwicky, Matthew J. Rauls, James A. (Jen) Zwicky, Hannah J. Zwicky, and Hailey D. Zwicky, and two great-grandsons, Connor and Lennon Rauls. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
