Jeanette L. Boettcher

Jeanette L. “JB” Boettcher, age 84, of Chilton, died on March 5, 2022, at Century Ridge Assistant Living in Chilton. She was born May 22, 1937, daughter of the late Elmer Rusch and Verna Rusch-Thronson. On July 5, 1958, she married Wyman Boettcher and they had three children.

JB was always willing to help anyone that needed it and helped Wyman run the family farm during the first years of their marriage. They sold the farm and she extended her care to others, eventually becoming a nursing assistant. She liked to cook, crochet, making quilts, and loved playing cards. Her family meant the world to her and she cherished being a grandmother.

Jeanette is survived by her children: Liz (Shawn) McCredie, Willie (Debbie) Boettcher, and Carl Boettcher; seven grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law: Shirley Bartel and Arlene (Lyle) Roehrig.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Wyman; her parents: Elmer Boettcher and Verna (Norris, second husband) Thronson ; Wyman’s parents: Arthur and Verona Boettcher; siblings: an infant brother, Eugene (Betty) Rusch, Sr., and Carol Jane (Dale) Zimmermann; and brother-in-law: Gordy Bartel.

Jeanette’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at St. Luke Lutheran Church  (W3102 Killsnake Rd.) in Chilton. Friends may call from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm  on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at the Wieting Family Funeral Home in Chilton, and again from 9:00 am until 10:45 am at the church on the day of service. A committal service will take place at the parish cemetery immediately following the funeral.
