Jenny B. Kolberg

Jenny Bee Kolberg, age 19, of Menasha, died on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at her home in Menasha.  She was born June 19, 1999 in St. Paul, MN, daughter of Timothy Kolberg and Jennifer (Koch) Lecker.

Jenny was given the tremendous gift of a big heart and a caring, compassionate personality.  She always gave more of herself to better the lives of others whenever she could.  Her uncanny ability to read the atmosphere in the room to seek out someone in need was put to excellent use as she worked as a care giver at the National House in Brillion through the New Hope Center.  As a blessing to others, she skillfully used her spunky sarcastic wit to brighten other people’s lives and was never hesitant to give a hug to all those she loved, and those that really needed it.

Jenny was a fighter for her entire life, continually persevering over every obstacle ever placed in front of her.  She enjoyed photography and had the remarkable ability to take some of the best selfies; even garnering the admiration of others who sought out her keen eye and selfie advice.  With an eclectic love of music, Jenny looked forward to attending concerts, playing her ukulele, and applying her dance skills to the music she heard.

Jenny’s life was a gift to all those around her and she has certainly left this world a much better place because of love of others.  She will certainly be missed by the many lives she touched during her short time on Earth.

Survivors include her parents: Jennifer (Jim) Lecker, Tim Kolberg and his fiancee, Julie Salmon; her maternal grandparents: Tom & Karen Koch; and her sisters: Emily & Claire Kolberg. She is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Jenny was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Don & Clarice Kolberg; and an uncle: Tom Koch, Jr.

Funeral service will be at 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 11, 2018.
