Joan Ellen (Ford) Zoch,

Joan Ellen (Ford) Zoch, age 84 of North Fond du Lac died on Friday Jan. 16, 2015 at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. She was born on May 1, 1930 the daughter of Sam and Elsie (Pinnow) Ford in Fond du Lac. She attended the elementary schools and was a high School graduate of North Fond du Lac. Joan married Wesley W. Zoch on August 13, 1949 in Milwaukee. They resided in Oshkosh for 8 years, then moved back to Fond du Lac where they lived for the next 46 years. Joan will be fondly remembered by her friends as “Purple Joanie.” She was a loving mom and homemaker. She was a very generous and hospitable person and made herself available to many when they needed help. She loved music and singing. Joan also loved to pick fresh strawberries and then share them with others. Joan was a member of the Fond du Lac Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and served many years in the ministry teaching others about the Bible. 



Joan is survived by her five children: Daniel (Vicki) Zoch, Jeffery (Pat) Zoch, and Nathan (Lori) Zoch all of Fond du Lac and Peggy (Bud) Wilson and Susan (Keith) Olson both of Wausaukee, 9 grandchildren: Desiree (Jim)Olson, Michelle Olson, Tim (Jessica) Olson, Tara (Zack) Gretzinger, Lukas (fiancée Annie), Courtnay, Staci, Kaila and Gideon Zoch, five great grandchildren: Karalyn and Asher Zoch, Parker, Jameson and Lovie Gretzinger, one sister Betty Anderson of Brookfield and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wesley and beloved aunts and uncles. 

Memorial services will be held Saturday Jan. 24th at 3:30 PM at the Fond du Lac Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 570 Marshall Avenue, Fond du Lac. Visitation for family and friends will be from 2PM til time of service with David Olson officiating. Twohig Funeral Home, Fond du Lac, is serving the family with burial at Rienzi Cemetery.
