JoAnne H. Ziegler

JoAnne H. Ziegler, 86, of North Fond du Lac, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Edenbrook of Fond du Lac.

JoAnne was born November 20, 1934.  She was adopted, along with her brother, Delmer, by Carl and Marie Heine of Ellendale, North Dakota.  JoAnne graduated high school and attended one year of college in Ellendale.  In 1953, she married Harold Harr. They later divorced, but remained on good terms.  In 1995, JoAnne married Irvin Ziegler.  They too divorced, but remained friendly until his death.

JoAnne was a wonderful mother. She raised six children.  Throughout her lifetime, JoAnne worked in various jobs.  JoAnne’s last job before retiring was for St. Agnes Hospital as a companion for many years.  She developed wonderful friendships with her clients.

JoAnne was funny, talkative and made friends wherever she went.  For years she was a regular at McDonald’s on Tuesday, and The Stretch on Sunday.  JoAnne enjoyed sewing, getting together with family, watching Brewer’s baseball, dancing, going to plays and eating out.  She was always up for a road trip, even if there wasn’t a destination in mind.  Words cannot express how much her laughter will be missed.

She is survived by her children: Susan Harr of Fond du Lac, Jody (Gary) Bloedorn of Waupun, Jon Harr of Juneau, AK and Matt (Gretchen May) Harr of Madison.  She is also survived by her grandchildren: Brook (Joe) Hinrichs, Seth Warner, Jacob Harr, Jason (Emilie) Harr, Laura Raymaker, Kellianne Harr, Joel Harr, Daniel Robison, Randall Robison, Maggie Robison, Dustin Robison, Neil Robison, Ryan Robison, Jeremy Harr and Emma Harr; her great-grandchildren: Alex, Evan, Connor, Liam, Kailer, Niya and Morgan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, her former spouses, her daughter Peggy Warner, her son Rodney (Bonnie) Harr.  She is further preceded in death by her amazing aunts that helped raise her in Ellendale, Meta Hoermann, Anna Hoermann and Helen Hoermann.  They were fantastic, strong women, role models who provided JoAnne with lots of love, laughter and guidance.

Private family services will be held at Hope Lutheran Church, on Friday, May 14, 2021, with Rev. Phillip Enderle officiating.  PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL AND WEAR A FACE MASK IF ATTENDING.  Inurnment of cremains will take place at a later date at Elm Grove Cemetery, Pulaski, WI.

JoAnne’s family would like to thank the following people: The staff of Edenbrook who made sure mom was well taken care of.
