Jody Caroline Buckarma
Jody
Caroline Buckarma, 63, passed away on Friday, December 04, 2015. She was born on October 10, 1952, a daughter
of Leonard and Betty Jones Kohnke. She
graduated from Goodrich High School. On
July 12, 1969, Jody married Michael Buckarma.
Jody cared
for others her entire life. She was all
about caring for her grandchildren, attending their events and spending time
with them. Jody volunteered for the Red
Cross blood drives. She enjoyed the
farmer’s market and shopping with her friend, Nanci. Jody liked to spend time gardening, reading
and cooking. She was passionate about
her family and the Green Bay Packers.
Jody was a member of Community Church in Fond du Lac. She worked at St. Agnes Hospital and Davita
as a dialysis technician. After her
retirement, Jody was a sample server at Festival Foods.
Jody is
survived by her daughter, Tina (Pat) Duffy and her son, Matthew Buckarma, four
grandchildren, Allyson and Ryan Duffy and Noah and Madison Buckarma and a
special granddog, Lola, her father, Leonard Kohnke and one brother, Stephen
(Patty) Kohnke. Jody is further survived
by her best friend, Nanci (Tom) McGray, her aunt, Gladys Godfrey, one
brother-in-law, Steve Hoffman, one sister-in-law, Mary Mowery and nieces,
nephews and many friends.
Jody was
preceded in death by her husband, Michael, her mother, Betty Jones Kohnke, and
one sister, Christine Kohnke Hoffman.
Visitation: Jody’s family will receive relatives and
friends on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Community Church, N6717 Streblow Drive,
Fond du Lac, from 11:00 to 11:45 AM.
Service: A memorial service will follow the visitation
on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Community Church at noon. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of
flowers, memorials can be directed to the family.
The family
would like to thank the cancer center staff, the ICU and hospital staff,
Jennifer Burgess, Dr. Fredrickson and Dr. Jones for their loving and
compassionate care.
