John H. Trewin

John H. Trewin, 88, of Fond
du Lac, died Sunday, September 18, 2016, at Brookdale Senior Living.

 

He was born on February 3,
1928, in Fond du Lac, a son of Gilbert J. and Marie Heberlien Trewin.  John was a graduate of St. Peter’s Lutheran
School, Class of 1942.

 

John served with the United
States Army Air Corps, active duty, from December 12, 1945 – December 11,
1948. 

 

On November 5, 1949, he
married Mary Lou Kelly with Pastor Pieper officiating.

 

John was a member of St.
Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church.  He worked
for Fond du Lac Midland

Co-Op, later known as
Agriland Co-Op, as a feed division manager, for over 40 years.

 

He is survived by three
children:  Bruce (Nancy)Trewin of Sheboygan,
Julianne Trewin of Fond du Lac, and Cherie “Casey” (Mark) Deibert of Fond du
Lac; six grandchildren:  Greg (Krissy)
Trewin of Ocoee, Florida, Chad (Lara) Trewin of Fond du Lac, Sara (Joe) Eswine
of Waukesha, Teresa (Sajhi) Godina of Fond du Lac, and Jennifer (Scott) Jaschob
of North Fond du Lac; 13 great-grandchildren: 
Savannah, Joseph, Andrew, Cassandra, Courtney, Alexis, Maci, Lila,
Matthew, Danyelle, Caleb, Hayley, and Keeley; a brother, Gib (Ann) Trewin of
Fond du Lac; a sister-in-law, Margaret Kelly of Fond du Lac; and a
brother-in-law, Dan (Carmellita) Kelly of Ocala, Florida.

 

He was preceded in death by
his parents; his wife of 53 years, Mary Lou; a granddaughter, Rachel Riederer;
a grandson, Joseph Trewin; a great-granddaughter, Lydia Trewin; a brother,
Robert (Sylvia) Trewin; a sister, Dorothy (David) Case; a brother-in-law, James
E. Kelly; and three sisters-in-law: 
Loretta (Al) Elliot, Maxine (Lester) McKnight, and Christine Kelly.

 

VISITATION:  The visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory,
31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac, and on Wednesday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 1600 South Main Street, Fond du Lac.

 

SERVICE:  The funeral service will be held at 11:00
a.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church with
Rev. Matthew Guse officiating.

 

Burial will be in Rienzi
Cemetery.
