John James Warner

John James Warner, 45, of North Fond du Lac passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 9, 2021.

He was born June 2, 1976, a son of John and Susan (Henning) Warner in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

John graduated from L.P Goodrich in 1995.

On May 19, 2001 John married his high school sweet heart, Shelly. They spent 28 years together.

John was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed working on small engines and fixing lawn mowers. John was everybody’s mechanic. For over 20 years, John was an avid fan of demolition derby. He spent many hours building cars to participate in the derbies, often for charity.

He was a family man and loved spending time with his wife and kids. He loved to visit Pelican Lake where he would spend the days fishing and relaxing.

Despite being sick, John would always be the first to ask “How are you?” He never hesitated to help others. His caring nature made him so loved by many.

John will be dearly missed by his wife Shelly; children Preston and Emily; mother Susan Warner; brothers Joshua and Nathan (Michelle) Warner; father and mother-in-law Steve and Janet Guelzow; brother-in-law Alex (Lori) Guelzow; nieces Alexandria “Ali” Guelzow and Addi Warner; nephews William “Billy” Guelzow, Joseph “Joey” Guelzow, and Kaden Warner; goddaughters Julie Streblow, Amber Lefeber, and Lea Moore; as well as many aunts, uncles, many many cousins, and friends.

John was preceded in death by his father John, maternal and paternal grandparents, and cousin Jimmy Streblow.

John’s family invites friends and relatives to a time of visitation on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Zacherl Funeral Home.

A funeral service at 4:00 PM will follow the visitation on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Zacherl Funeral Home.

John’s family would like to give a thank you to the Cancer Center and St. Agnes Hospice for their care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for John’s children.
