Joseph J. Fink

Joseph J. Fink, age 42, of
Eugene, OR, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2020. He was born on April 30,
1977, in Fond du Lac, the son of Richard Fink and Mary Thornton. Joseph
graduated from Neenah High School in 1995. In high school, Joe accelerated in
theatre, swing choir, and was a member of Vintage. He also participated in wrestling,
baseball, football, and track and field. Joe has been out west for many years spending
time in Colorado working at Steamboat Ski Resort in Colorado, Salt Lake City,
UT, and most recently Eugene, OR. He loved creating things with his hands and
was extremely talented at it and put those talents to use doing landscaping in Colorado,
Utah, and Oregon. Joe was both a gentleman and mountain man and loved the
outdoors. He enjoyed fly fishing, skiing, and everything adventurous. Joe was
kind, approachable, smart, funny, nonjudgmental, and he could talk to anybody. Joe
was a mountain man with a dog, Amie.

 

Survivors include his mother,
Mary Thornton of Neenah; his father, Rick (JoAnn) Fink of Van Dyne; four
siblings, Rick (Jaci) Fink of Appleton, and their children, Elliette, Harvey,
and Hugo; Nathan (Jenn) Fink of Durham, NH, and their children Loic and Wynn;
Macy Fink of Fond du Lac; and Lauren Fink of Barcelona, Spain; his paternal
grandmother, Audrey Fink of Fond du Lac; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Marion
Thornton; his paternal grandfather, Winnie Fink.

 

Visitation will take place on Saturday,
February 1, 2020, from 10:00 AM until 12 noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524
N Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A celebration of Joe’s life will follow the
visitation at the funeral home at 12 noon. Cremation has taken place.
