Joseph J. Fucik

Joseph J. Fucik, 88, of Fond du Lac passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the Hospice Home of Hope with his loving daughters by his side. He was born in Waukesha on March 13, 1932, the son of the late Anton and Pauline Fucik (nee Lutz). Joe was a proud U.S. Army Veteran, serving from 1952 until 1954. On September 28, 1957, he married Marceil (his Rose) Yost and they were blessed to have 60 years together. Joe was a dedicated and proud Truck Driver. In retirement he worked many years doing part-time building maintenance. His family could always count on him whenever there was a need. Joe enjoyed riding his motorcycle and fixing things his family broke.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his two daughters, Lynn (Edward) Schneider and Mary (John) Tennessen both of Fond du Lac; five grandchildren, Melissa (Matt) Dallmann, Andy Schneider, Joshua, Nicholas (Erica) and Ryan Tennessen; and three great grandchildren, Isabella and Eliana Tennessen, and Jonah Dallmann.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Marceil (Rose); and his brothers, Anton and Walter Fucik.

A private family service has taken place with burial in Calvary Cemetery.

Joe’s family would like to thank those who cared for their father at Hospice Home of Hope for the compassionate care and the kindness they showed to our father and to us.
