Joseph “Joe” H. Peters, 71,
of Fond du Lac, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015, with his family by
He was born on March 31,
1944, in Fond du Lac, the son of Norbert and Rita Simon Peters.
Joe worked for Pelletier
Vending for 29 years and Consultants Lab for nine years. He enjoyed golf, trips to the casino, and
spending time with family.
On October 23, 1965, he
married Mary E. “Beth” Knueppel at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. They would have celebrated 50 years of
marriage on October 23, 2015.
Joe is survived by his wife
Beth Knueppel Peters; two daughters:
Jodi (David) Penkwitz of Fredonia and Julie (Tim) Kobs of Fond du Lac;
three grandchildren; Mercedes Atkins
(fiancé, Chris Miles) and Matthew Kobs (special friend, Carla) and Adam Kobs
(special friend, Leah); two step-grandchildren:
Zachary and Mikayla Penkwitz; three siblings: Jerome “Pete” Peters of Middleton, Dennis
Peters of West Plains, Missouri, and Karen Osier of Denver, Colorado; a sister-in-law, Lois Peters
of Fond du Lac. He is further survived by his in-laws: David
(Betty) Knueppel, Ann (Mark) Miller, Sue (Ken) Narlock, Dick Knueppel, Chuck
(Sharon) Knueppel, Jane (Dean) Wendt, Karen (Don) Bowen, and Kevin (Carolyn)
Knueppel; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by
his parents; family friend, Ervin Beyer, two brothers: Norbert Jr. and David; three sisters: Janet, Sharon, and Marie; his father and
mother-in-law: Chuck and Kathleen
Knueppel; and brothers-in-law: Tom, Joe,
Cremation has taken place.
The family will receive
relatives and friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2015, at
