Joseph Lyle Muellenbach

Joseph “Eskimo Joe” Lyle Muellenbach, 79, passed away on December 29, 2021 at home. He was born in St. Joe to the late Milton and Susan (Thome) Muellenbach on January 2, 1942.

Joe attended Marytown Schools and served in the U.S. Army. He was self-employed as a farmer and worked as a truck driver during different phases of his life.

He enjoyed playing cards with his buddies, hanging out with Dennis and playing cribbage.

Joe is survived by his son Thomas (Danielle Dommisse) Muellenbach of Malone, daughter Sheila (Rick) Wettstein of AZ, sisters Linda Muellenbach of Fond du Lac and Mary (David) McCarthy of FL, son-in-law Jim Featherston of Alaska, grandchildren Tyler (Jeanee) Muellenbach of FL, Kaylee (Fulton) Friese of Waupun, Robert Featherston of AK, Craig Featherston of AK, step-grandson Deavin Schaub, great grandchildren Leah and Mya Muellenbach and Taven and Orion Featherston.

He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Preceding Joe in death were his parents, his wife Betty, daughter June Featherston, grandson Derrick Wettstein, sisters Rosie Muellenbach and Valeria Birschbach and brother-in-law Delbert Birschbach.

Upon Joe’s request, there will not be a funeral service. Friends and family may send condolences to Tom Muellenbach or Sheila Wettstein.
