Joseph Q. Weinreis

Joseph Querin Weinreis, age 67, of Pardeeville, formerly St. John, died on Friday, December 16, 2016 at UW Hospital in Madison. He was born November 16, 1949 in Chilton, son of the late John & Frances (Kopf) Weinreis.



He farmed on the family homestead in the St. John & Hilbert areas until his retirement when he worked part time as a security guard. In his free time, Joe enjoyed rooting on the Milwaukee Brewers and kept up on the current events in Calumet County. Joe took every opportunity presented to him to go 4 wheeling and looked forward to time spent visiting with friends, family, and the entire gang at the Pardeeville Public Library. One of Joe’s most cherished occasions were those moments he was able to be around his grandchildren who always brought him love and joy.



Survivors include his children: Shelly (Troy) Johnson, Stacy (Grant) Schomburg, Bobbi (Ben) Propson, Lori Prey and her special friend, Patrick Wilcox, Mark (Jennifer) Weinreis; 6 grandchildren with another arriving soon: Grace, Margaret & Stella Schomburg, Ronan Propson, Avah & Aubrey Weinreis; and his sisters: Alice (Joe) Kmetz, Kathy (Craig) Jungwirth, Patti Weinreis, Ellen (John) Kraus, & Marie Weinreis. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.



Joe was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother: Rick Weinreis.



Funeral service will be at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at St. John Catholic Church in St. John with the Rev. Michael Betley officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 2:00 pm until 4:45 pm on Tuesday, December 20, 2016.
