Joseph R. Bonlender

Joseph R. Bonlender, 90, went to his heavenly reward on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at his home in Cedar Community, West Bend. He was born on March 2, 1932 in Ashford, the son of Ervin and Margaret (Heisler) Bonlender, Sr. On September 1, 1953, Joe married Louise Beisbier at St. Martin’s Church in Ashford. They farmed together in the Town of Ashford. Joe enjoyed working the land, fishing, bowling, playing cards and traveling. He especially enjoyed Louise’s cooking and baking and family time.

Survivors include his wife Louise, children Joseph (Christine), Jackie (Tom) Martin, Gary (Carolyn), Jane (John) Laubenstein, Jean (Bill) Hermanns, Randy (Carmen), Jeanette (Dan) Schmidt, June (Byron) Balken and Scott (Malissa), 29 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Doris Bonlender, brother-in-law Karl Ryan, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Margaret Bonlender, Fern Ryan and Florence Plagmann and brothers Leo, Ervin Jr, Harold and Robert.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 16th from 9:30 AM until 12:00 Noon at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 406 E. Main St., Campbellsport. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 16th at 12:00 Noon at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church.  Rev. Mark Jones will officiate and entombment will follow in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac.
