Karen M. Martin

Karen M. (Urban) Martin, 67, of Fond du Lac, passed quietly and peacefully of renal failure on
Wednesday, July 25th, 2018 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.
She was born on April 6, 1951, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Leonard and Marjean (Elsner)
Urban. She grew-up in North Fond du Lac and graduated from Horace Mann High School in 1969.
She worked a good share of her life for Lauer’s Food Market as a meat wrapper. Later she owned a
frame and ceramic shop called the Log Cabin. In her final years she sold grave stones for Rock of
Ages in the Fond du Lac area.
Karen was always known for her beautiful red hair and fun loving personality. She had many
friends, and enjoyed her family, particularly her aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her
brother Kurt Urban and his wife Juanita of Portland, Oregon. She has three nieces and their families.
A private burial and service for family and close friends will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Karen’s name appreciated to Hospice Home of Hope, Fond du Lac.
