Kathleen Ann (Schingen) Pelletier

Kathleen Ann (Schingen) Pelletier went to live with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014 after a three and a half year struggle with cancer. She was born Sept. 11, 1939, to Leo and Rocille (Brandt) Schingen. Kathy attended St. Mary’s Grade School and graduated from Fond du Lac High School in 1957. Kathy enjoyed monthly luncheons with her classmates. Kathy married John S. Pelletier on June 27, 1959. In her younger years she worked at Red Owl and A.C. Nielson. Kathy and John owned and operated Pelletier Vending Service from 1962-1998. She finished her working career at St. Patrick and St. Joseph Schools, in their hot lunch program, retiring in 2011. Kathy was a past member of the Lady Elks, she bowled in a women’s league at Karl-Ray Lanes, and a choir member of St. John Church in Byron. Kathy loved singing in the choir, which is so appropriate for her passing on the Feast Day of St. Cecelia, the patron saint of music/ musicians. Kathy loved traveling, shoppin g, attending concerts, theatre productions, her grandchildren’s sporting events, and just being with her family. Family meant everything to her, with her motto being, “Family First”. She also enjoyed many trips to Houghton, MI, where John was born. 

Survivors include her husband, John, two daughters, Wendy (special friend Tom Wellnitz) and Debbie (Ret. Lt. Col. Roy) Krueger, a son, John L. (special friend Tracey Smith), a grandson, PFC Steven Krueger, all of Fond du Lac, a granddaughter, Kristy Pelletier, Cascade, a sister, Betty (Robert) Hungerford, Oakfield, a brother-in-law, Robert (Pat) Pelletier, Madison, a sister-in-law/special friend, Mary Thurk, FdL, her BFF Mary Ganz, FdL, and many nieces and nephews, and her beloved cat, Dusty. She is preceded in death by her parents and her in laws John J. and Evelyn Pelletier. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday Nov. 25th at 11:00AM at Sons of Zebedee Catholic Parish–St. John site, at N5882 Church Road, Byron with Fr. Michael Petersen officiating and burial in the church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday Nov. 24 from 4-7PM at the Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Avenue, Fond du Lac and at the church on Tuesday Nov. 25th from 10-11AM.
