Kathryn F. Amrhein

Kathryn “Kay” “Casey” F. Amrhein, 74, of Fond du Lac, died peacefully with her husband by her side Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mount Calvary.  She was born February 13, 1947 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Frank and Della (Stephany) Christ.  On April 1, 1977 she married Casper G. Amrhein in Fond du Lac. 

Casey owned and operated Hills Studio 79 for many years until moving to the Classic Cut in North Fond du Lac until her retirement in 2020.  She also was the hairdresser at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home for over 40 years. 

Casey was involved the with the Miss Fond du Lac Pageant and was an organizer of the annual Christmas Parade in Fond du Lac for many years.  She enjoyed gardening, flowers, crafting, cooking, and was one of the Packer’s biggest fans. 

She is survived by her husband, Cap; her sister, Jean (Tom) Lambeseder; two step sons, Gary (Joann) Amrhein and Brad Amrhein; nephews, Jeff Lambeseder, Jason (Angie) Lambeseder, and Craig Lambeseder; niece, Amy (Mike) McGuire; great nephews and nieces, Alaina and Keira Lambeseder and Evan and Max McGuire; other relatives and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

At Casey’s request, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.

Memorials in her name may be directed to Agnesian Hospice or Villa Loretta Nursing Home.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Villa Loretto and Agnesian Hospice for the care and compassion given to her and her family.  Also thank you to the many friends that sent cards, flowers, food, and shared their love and support, especially Katie Hornung, Janet Immel, Joy Barber, and Bev Austin.
