Kenneth A. Wiese

Kenneth A. Wiese , 85, Fond du Lac went to his heavenly home on Thurs. Mar. 27, 2014 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac surrounded by his loving family. He was born in the Town of Oakfield on July 15, 1928 the son of Alvin H. and Alma E. Kollmann Wiese. Ken served in the U.S. Army from Jan. 5, 1951 to Dec. 19, 1952. On May 3, 1952, Kenneth married Betty Cash in Breman, Georgia. They shared 61 wonderful years together. Kenneth worked at Harold Schmidt Trucking, Michels Pipeline, California Canners and Growers, Wiese Auto Salvage and Repair, Case Implement and PitStop Garage. Ken was a member of St. Luke’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Oakfield, Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post #347 and the Brownsville Volunteer Fire Dept. He loved to go fishing, play darts, bowl, play cribbage and do jig saw puzzles but most of all Ken enjoyed the time spent with his family especially his grandchildren. 

Survivors include his daughters Mary Tackett of Fond du Lac, Linda Schinke of Fond du Lac, Judy (Kurt) Moore of Malone, and Cindy (Mark) Peterson of Eden, his son-in-law Bill Krueger of Oakfield, his grandchildren Stacy (Trevor) Walker, Scott (Amy) Zwicky, Rob (Tracey) Tackett, Maria Braford, Eric (Lindsay) Krueger, Katie Krueger (fiancé John Patt), Holly (Alex) Ripley, Alyssa Moore, Parker Peterson, and Peyton Peterson, his great grandchildren Nick, Nicole, Dylan, Angelique, Shyann, Union, Render, Alexandra, Olivia, Owen, Natalie, Ariel, and Hoyt, his siblings: Dorothy Loest, Donald (Susan) Wiese, Ed Wiese, Alfred (Arlene) Wiese, Eugene (Mary) Wiese, Chuck Wiese, Marcella (Marvin) Klemp, Margaret Brandl and Alvin (Pennae) Wiese, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty, his daughter Helen, his sons-in-law Felipe Ramirez and Glenn Schinke, Jr, his brother Harold and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law 

The family will receive relatives and friends on Mon. Mar. 31st from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Avenue, Fond du Lac and on Tue. April 1st from 10:00 until time of service at the church. 

Funeral Services will be Tuesday April 1st, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church at 245 S. 2nd Street Oakfield. Rev. Christopher Goelzer will officiate and burial will follow in Avoca Cemetery, Oakfield. Military Rites preformed by the Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post #347 at the cemetery.
