Kenneth J. Grenzer

Kenneth J. “Ken” Grenzer, age 78, of Hilbert, died on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at his home in Hilbert.  He was born October 3, 1941, son of the late John & Ruth (Schmitz) Grenzer.  He married Elizabeth “Betty” Jensen on November 25, 1961 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert; she preceded him in death on February 13, 2015.



Beginning at the age of 18, Ken worked at Chilton Metal Products for 47 years until his retirement.  During his retirement years, he worked part time for various places, but especially enjoyed his time working for Bob Miller Trucking.  For much of his life, Ken also ran Ken’s Tax Service helping many clients over the years.  



He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, and was a former member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 20 years.  Being civic minded, Ken also served on the Village Board for Hilbert.  



Ken was the consummate family man who devoted his life to his wife, Betty, and loved to go camping with her every chance he could.  He also loved to follow his children and grandchildren in the sporting events and other activities they were all involved in.  



Survivors include his children: Theron Grenzer, Joel (Michelle) Grenzer, Tonya (Scott) Kratz, Aric (Andrea) Grenzer, Jason (Shelley) Grenzer, Nathan (Souji) Grenzer, Jennifer (Bruce) Eichmeier, Natasha (Christian) Proctor; his grandchildren: Tyler & Taylor Reeves, Karlie (Alex) Mandel, Jena Sieckert, Rachel & Katie Kratz, Alandra, Addison Grenzer, Carson and Kendrix Grenzer, Austin, Autumn & Ava Cullen, Anjali Grenzer, Dominic, McKenna Eichmeier; a great grandchild: Navy Mandel; his siblings: Joan (Mike) Slominski, Barbara (Lon) Schroeder, Charles (Marlene) Grenzer; and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Kurt Meyers, Robert Suttner, Charles Jensen, Eugene Jensen and his special friend, Stella, Elmer Jensen, Jane (Paul) Thiel, Barbara (Gary) Nennig, Alice (Levant) Purdy, & Bob (Mary) Eichmeier.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  



Ken was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Betty; his sisters: Carol Suttner, Marguerite Meyers & Mary (Joe) Schomisch; and his sister-in-law: Karen Eichmeier.  



Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 am on Monday, March 9, 2020 at Holy Family Catholic Church (1100 W Ryan St.) in Brillion with Rev. Tom Pomeroy officiating.  Entombment will be in the Knollwood Mausoleum.  Friends may call at the church from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday, March 9, 2020.
