Pluma Alma Kenyon, 92, a resident of Fond du Lac, left this world, surrounded by her family, on April 5, 2014, to be with the Lord and to be reunited with her best friend and loving husband, Donald.

She was born October 28, 1921 in Fond du Lac, to Albert and Pluma Bonnell Gross.

Pluma graduated from Fond du Lac Senior High School in 1940. On January 22, 1943 she married her high school sweetheart, Donald Kenyon, at Camp Roberts in Pasa Robles, CA.

Pluma worked at St. Agnes Hospital in the Nursery for 26 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Fox Valley Hummel Club, M J Hummel Club, Fond du Lac Historical Society, St. Patrick Rosary Guild, and the R.O. A.L. She enjoyed traveling, reading, bike riding, snow skiing, playing cards, and lunches with her retired “O.B. Workers”.   Pluma enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and in later years her great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Survivors include a son, Bob Kenyon of Oshkosh, two daughters, Kathryn (fiancée Gary Lautenschlaeger) Kedinger of Fond du Lac, and Laurie Cetnar of North Fond du Lac, 12 grandchildren, Andrew (Andrea) Kenyon,  and John Kenyon, Lisa (Wally) Giese, Angela (Paul) Davis, Jennifer (Lance) Decker and Elizabeth (David) Gest, Nicholas (Kimberly) Kedinger, Aimee (Nicholas) Lamb, and  Ann (James “Sid”) Duchow, Jenifer, John, and Joseph Cetnar, 17 Great-grandchildren, and another to be born in May, one great-great-granddaughter. She is further survived by a sister, Catherine Fields of Fond du Lac, a sister-in-law, Jean Gross of Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews, many friends and special neighbors, including, Martin and Jane Kraus and Judy Brown, and her devoted Scottish terrier, Chauncey.

Pluma was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Donald on June 2, 2011, one daughter, Carol (William) Meunter, two sons-in-law, Mark Kedinger and John Cetnar, a grandson-in-law, Mark Marthaler, four brothers, Daniel (Alta) Gross, Robert (Beverly) Gross, Albert and Donald Gross, a sister, Jane and her husbands, Steven O’Connor and Charles Boushley and by a brothers-in-law, Raymond Fields and Russell (Helen) Kenyon.

Visitation: Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Zacherl Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Sacred Heart Church, Holy Family Parish, 300 South Peters Avenue Fond du Lac, from 9:30 to 10:45 AM.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, Holy Family Parish, on Thursday at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Rienzi Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials in her  name may be directed to the Fond du Lac County Historical Society, Agnesian Hospice Home of Hope.
