Kerry E. Klotz

Kerry E. Klotz, age 70, of Chilton, died on November 22, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. He was born July 13, 1948, in Sheboygan, son of Kenneth and the late Eleanor Klotz. On March 18, 1972, he married Jeanne Sturm and together they had three children.

Kerry was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton. He never missed mass and whenever he and Jeanne went out of town they had to find a local church to attend services. Kerry’s dedication to his faith carried over to his dedication for his family. He loved becoming a grandfather and never missed an opportunity to watch his grandchildren’s sports and activities.

Kerry was also dedicated to his country and served as a soldier in the United States Army. He was set to receive the “Quilt of Honor” from the local veterans club.

Kerry kept active in his free time enjoying what the local area had to offer. He was an avid golfer at Hickory Hills Golf Course and acted as the president for their men’s league for a number of years. He played in several softball leagues for the Brant Inn, Grube’s All-Stars, the Redwood, and Austin’s. He played second base and his teams could rely on him to make contact and get on base with line-drive hits. In fall, he joined the hunters in the annual deer hunting season. On Tuesday nights during the winter he would go to Cheers for an informal, private pool league with Art, Jonesy, Mouse, and Eddie. He worked at keeping himself healthy and won an award from Anytime Fitness for most visits in one month. He and Jeanne always looked forward to their trips to Mississippi to see his best friend, Bob, and his wife.

Kerry is survived by his wife, Jeanne; his father, Kenneth; children: Khristopher (Michelle) Klotz and Kimberlee Klotz (Jared Clapper, boyfriend); grandchildren: Kayla Klotz (Chad VanderZanden, boyfriend), Kelsey Klotz, Kendra Klotz, Gaven Lisowe, and Brody VanderZanden; sisters: Kathy (Carl) Plourde, Patricia (Jerry) Radey, Sandra (Mike) Roepke, and Maryjane Klotz; brothers: James (Diane) Klotz, Robert (Jan) Klotz, and Daniel (Amy) Klotz; a sister-in-law: Patricia Stadtmueller; and brothers-in-law: Robert (Sandra) Sturm and Paul (Kathy) Sturm.

Kerry was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor; his daughter, Andrea “Veena” Klotz; Jeanne’s parents: Norbert and Ruth Sturm; a sister-in-law: Jackie (Cyril) Schaefer; and brothers-in-law: John Sturm and Len Stadtmueller.
