Kristine K. Diener

Kristine K. Diener, age 63,
passed away on November 6, 2014, surrounded by loving family members after a
brief illness. 

 

Kris graduated from LP
Goodrich in 1969.  She went on to get her
Bachelors Degree at UW-LaCrosse and her Master’s Degree at UW-Whitewater.  Kris was a devoted teacher and administrator
in the School District of Waukesha for 35 years, retiring in 2008.  She was a math and computer teacher, a
computer support teacher, and was the first principal of iQ Academies of
Wisconsin as virtual learning options began in the state.  Ms. Diener was also an active board member of
Educators Credit Union in Racine, WI, serving as board president for several
terms during her 24 years of service. 
Kristine was also an avid adult educator teaching for WITC for many
years and then for Cardinal Stritch University until her retirement in
2013.  In addition, Kris was active in
Gamma Sigma Sigma, a national service sorority, joining Beta Delta Chapter at
UW –LaCrosse in 1971.  She went on to
serve as a regional director, national service director, and Perspectives
editor, traveling to chapters throughout the United States.  She was also a WASCD board member and a
frequent presenter at conferences. 

 

Traveling was Kris’ passion
and she was frequently found on cruises in different parts of the world.  She especially enjoyed her many trips to Las
Vegas. 

 

Kristine is survived by
siblings: Alan (Sandy) of Fond du Lac, WI; Beth of Mt. Carroll, IL; and Julie
(Robert) Niederehe of Fond du Lac; nieces and nephews, grandnieces and
grandnephews; as well as friends and co-workers.

 

The funeral service will be
at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 9, 2014, at Mach Funeral Chapel &
Crematory, 31 E. Division Street, Fond du Lac. 

 

The visitation will be on
Sunday at Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory from 2:00 p.m. until the time of
service.

 

Burial will be at Ledgeview
Memorial Park.
