Kristine Kravis

Kristine
(Chiappazzi) Kravis went to be with Our Lord on November 23, 2017.  Kristine was a second generation American of
Italian descent.  She was born on April
13, 1949 as the fifth child to Lena (Mathews) and Joseph G. Chiappazzi of Erie,
PA.  She was the granddaughter of Maria
Giovianna (Monocello) and Dominic Mattioli, and Mary (Lombardozzi) and Joseph
Angelo Chiappazzi, Erie, PA.   It is
because of their courage, sacrifices, labor, military service and wisdom that
she was given the privilege of being an American citizen.  Along with these, she is also preceded in
death by her two elder sisters, Rosemary Wilson of Moline, IL and Joyce
Serafini of Erie, PA.  Kristine is
survived by her elder sister and brother, Marilyn Gebhardt of Erie, PA., and
Gerald Chiappazzi of Yorktown, VA.

Kristine leaves her
beloved family:  Loving husband of 46
years, Anthony ‘Bruce’ Kravis; son, Bruce Anthony Kravis, and daughter, Kelly
Lynne (Kravis) Hahm.  These, the
blessings of Kriss and Bruce’s marriage, brought forth their grandchildren,
through the love of Bruce A. and Kristina (Hettel) Kravis came James Alexander
and Natasha Louise Kravis; and through the love of Kelly L.  (Kravis) and Jason Hahm came JD Anthony and
Hailey Jo Hahm.  Love for them all
continues through eternity with her.

Kristine is also
survived by her God-Daughter, Alicia (Gebhardt) Goodelle of Avon, OH; and her
namesake, Kristine Hopkins, State College, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

She attended the
following educational institutions.
Emerson, St. Andrew’s Elementary, West Lake Jr. High School, McDowell
High School, Villa Maria College, all of Erie, PA and earned her Bachelor of
Science in Biology at Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA.  She is respectful with gratitude for the
sharing of knowledge of educators and classmates during these years.

She was majorly
employed as an Administrative Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, and
Substitute Teacher throughout the many spousal AMSCO / Steris transfers.

Kristine was most
appreciative of the privilege as serving as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister
for over 35 years, at each parish they registered with, to culmination with
Holy Family Parish, Fond du Lac, WI.  She
also served as a Religious Ed Educator, VBS Leader, Church Builder Fund Raiser,
and Church construction laborer, mainly at St. Catherine of Siena, Kennesaw,
GA.   Her parish community has always
been a life line of hope and solace during each transfer.  She is forever grateful to the religious and
community at each of them.
