Lanayr D. Albrecht

Lanayr “Shorty” D. Albrecht,
84, formerly of Van Dyne and a resident of Omro Care Center since 2015, died on
Saturday, November 25, 2017, at Omro Care Center.

 

She was born on April 11,
1933, in Fond du Lac County, the daughter of Alfred and Irene Henke Albrecht
Stahmann.  She was a lifelong member of
St. John’s Church in Nekimi, where she was baptized and confirmed.

 

Lanayr worked for Wells
Manufacturing on Brooke Street in Fond du Lac for 37 years, and retired from
there.  She lived on the family farm, and
in her later years took care of her mother, step dad and her brother Hilbert
until their death.  She enjoyed cooking
and baking for her family and friends and loved flowers, she was always ready
to help.  She loved traveling with
special friends Valeria Weinschrott and Hazel Strook.

 

She is survived by her
sisters: Elaine P. Albrecht and VerJean Zwicky (special friend, Jerry Berwald)of
Van Dyne; her niece, Dawn Barrette of Omro; three great nieces: Lindsey (Ben)
Riker, Kelli (Luke) Snively and Kristie (Travis) Blauret; four great great
nieces and nephew: Lucas, Caeli and Sophia Riker and Ellery Blauret;  and her aunt Faye Henke of North Fond du Lac.

 

She is preceded in death by
her parents, step dad Herbert Stahmann; two brothers: Hilbert (Elaine) and
Raymond Albrecht, a brother in law Roger Zwicky and a nephew, Jeffrey Zwicky.

 

VISITATION: Friends may call
on Wednesday, November 29 2017, from 10:00 – 12:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran
Church, 491 Old Oregon Rd, Oshkosh.

 

FUNERAL: Funeral services
will be held on Wednesday, at 12:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, with
Rev. James Rieff officiating.  Burial
will follow in St. John’s Parish Cemetery.
