Larry J. Korth

Larry J. Korth, 63, of North Fond du Lac, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at St. Agnes Hospital after 15 years of battling cancer.

He was born on January 19, 1951, in Oshkosh, a son of LuVerne and Beverly Miller Korth.

Larry graduated from Rosendale High School in 1969.

On July 3, 1981, he married Nancy Albrecht King in Hillsboro, North Dakota.

Larry farmed with his family in Eldorado, Van Dyne, and West Salem.  While in West Salem, he became a salesman for Quadronics until he opened Korth Distributors.  He was then hired to build water conditioning equipment in Wausau.

Larry moved to Fond du Lac 25 years ago to open hair salons with his wife, Nancy, Hair Design and 2 Fabulous Styling Salon.  He was the best receptionist.  He loved visiting with all customers, especially the little ones, who loved getting suckers from him.  He was often referred to by “Mr. Hair Design” or the kids called him, “Candy Man”.

Larry and Nancy were foster parents and that was a special job that really brought them great joy.  He loved to bowl, play cards, travel, or just be with his friends and neighbors.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; five siblings:  Gary (Linda) Korth of Illinois, Sandy Hubbard of Panama City Beach, Florida, Brian (Debby) Korth of St. Joseph’s Ridge, Wisconsin, Kevin (Wendy) Korth of Bangor, Wisconsin, and Wendy (David) Trautsch of Mindoro, Wisconsin; many nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Arlene Albrecht; a brother-in-law, Mike Albrecht; and two special kids who visited him often, Alex and Sam.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Roland Albrecht; his paternal and maternal grandparents; and a nephew, Jimmy Korth.
