Laurie A. Mongin

Laurie A. Mongin, 54, of Fond
du Lac, died Thursday, October 8, 2015, at Azura Memory Care, Oshkosh.

 

She was born on March 23,
1961, in Fond du Lac, a daughter of Kenneth and Marie Demler Dickie.  Laurie was a graduate of L.P. Goodrich High
School, Class of 1979.

 

On September 14, 1982, she
married William “Bill” Mongin in Fond du Lac.

 

Laurie was truly a genuine
person who was never afraid to speak her mind. 
She would never hesitate to sacrifice her needs in order to help someone
she loved.  She was a very outgoing
person.  She loved her grandchildren,
Elvis Presley, and going to the Florida Keys. 
Laurie was a very special person and she will be deeply missed by her
family and friends.

 

She is survived by her
husband, Bill; two children:  Lisa (Kurt)
Cardinal and Chad (Jane) Mongin, both of Fond du Lac; four grandchildren:  Emma, Finley, Max, and Leo; her
siblings:  Gary (Mary) Dickie, Mary (Tim)
Dietrich, Geraldine (Randy) Burton, Rosie Lefeber, and Marie (Carlos) Romo, all
of Fond du Lac; and many nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by
her parents; two brothers:  David Dickie
and Kenny Dickie; two sisters:  Linda
Elzey and Sharon (Gary) Zimpher; a brother-in-law, Robert Lefeber; and her
father and mother-in-law, Bernard and Phyllis Mongin.

 

The funeral service will be
held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel
& Crematory, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac, with Chaplain Steve
Cornelius officiating.

 

The visitation will be on
Tuesday at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory from 10:30 a.m. until the
time of service.

 

Burial will follow in Rienzi
Cemetery.
