LaVerne M. Breister Brauer

LaVerne M. Breister Brauer, age
89, of Fond du Lac,
passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Woodlands Assisted Living
surrounded by her family. She was born on October 22, 1928, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Michael and Ella
(Geidel) Hallman. LaVerne married John “Jack” Breister on October 26, 1947. He
preceded her in death on January 27, 1979. LaVerne then married William Brauer
and he preceded her in death on June 6, 1997.

LaVerne loved
entertaining her friends while playing the accordion for over seventy years in
the Fond du Lac
and surrounding areas. She enjoyed spending time in Canada
fishing, taking her grandchildren to Wisconsin Dells, spending time at Green Lake
at the cottage with her children and grandchildren. LaVerne was a very giving
person and she loved taking care of her grandchildren and dealing with her
fun-loving children during the holidays. She was always worried about her
children and was known for and everyone loved her cherry berries in a cloud at
Christmas time.

Survivors include
her children, Michael Breister of Green Lake, Patrick (Sandy) Breister of
Neenah, WI, Mark (Mary) Breister of Fond du Lac, James (Mary) Breister of Fond
du Lac; her grandchildren, Michelle “Chelle” (Mike) McClone, Tina (Krystal
Westfahl) Breister, Benjamin Breister, Brian Breister, Beckie (Todd Goodwin)
Marcoe, John (Samantha) Breister, Jack (Kristen Goltz) Breister, Jamie
Breister; her great-grandchildren, Grant (Anjel Coyne) Breister and Morgan
(Nate) Breister, Hunter and MaKena McClone, Sebastian and Brayden Breister,
Amelia and Oliver Breister; and all of her granddogs; one sister, Bette Peters;
and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents;
first husband, John “Jack” Breister; her second husband, William “Bill” Brauer;
one sister, Lt. Col. Jane Hallman.

Visitation will
take place on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, from 3-7 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral
Home, 524 N. Park Ave,
Fond du Lac, WI,

. A funeral
service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 7:00 PM. Private family
burial will take place at Calvary
