Lawrence R. Kohnke

Lawrence “Larry” R. Kohnke,
68, of Fond du Lac, died on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at St. Agnes Hospital.

 

Lawrence was born on October
9, 1949, in Pickett ,WI, the son of William and Jane (Owens) Kohnke . He was a
graduate of Ripon High School, and was a member of St. Stephens Church in
Rogersville.

 

He was joined in marriage to
his wife Rachel on September 18, 1993 at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church.
Lawrence served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 25 years, and was an active
member in Desert Storm. Larry was employed at Mercury Marine for over 35 years.

 

In his free time, Larry
enjoyed woodworking, collecting various items, gardening, canning, listening to
music, and spending time in the outdoors. He also enjoyed cheering for his
favorite teams, the Green Bay Packers, and Wisconsin Badgers.

 

He is survived by his wife,
Rachel Kohnke; three children: Angela J. (Chad) Wuest of Oshkosh, Chris Kohnke
of Fond du Lac, and Dan (Denise) Kohnke of Fond du Lac; six grandchildren:
Chelsea, Jade, Milo, Max, Aria, and Aviana (soon to be here); two brothers:
Ronald (Patti) Kohnke of Oshkosh, and Gene Kohnke of Menasha; and one sister:
Edith (Richard) Button of Oshkosh; and one sister-in-law: Pam Kohnke of Oshkosh.

 

He was preceded in death by
his father, mother, and one brother, Robert Kohnke.

 

VISITATION: Friends may call
on Saturday, April 14th, 2018, from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. at Kurki-Mach Funeral
Chapel, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac.

 

FUNERAL: Funeral services
will be held on Saturday, April 14th, at 11:30 a.m. at Kurki-Mach Funeral
Chapel, with Rev. Kimberly Stowell officiating. 
Burial will follow in Zoar Cemetery Town of Rosendale.  The Trier-Puddy American Leigon Post No. 75
will conduct Military Services at the Funeral Chapel.
